~ From Childhood, to Parenthood and Everything in Between ~



Erin Cantor received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University and is also a post-graduate fellow and staff psychotherapist at The Karen Horney Clinic in addition to working as a psychotherapist at Teleios Counseling Services.  During the completion of her Masters in Clinical Social Work, Erin gained in-depth Clinical experience in two year-long outpatient psychotherapy internships: The Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research and also, Sanctuary for Families, working exclusively with women in both locations who experienced severe anxiety, emotion dysregulation, post-traumatic stress disorder, relationship and intimacy difficulties, and self-harm.  


Prior to becoming a psycho-therapist, Erin worked as junior-high school teacher for the New York City Public School System and also spent over a decade as a successful violinist and actor.  Currently, Erin works with couples and individuals struggling with depression and mood disorders, emerging adulthood issues, parenting challenges, infertility and pre/peri/post-partum issues, as well as separation, divorce, grief and loss.  Erin is also LGBTQ allied and strives to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive and nonjudgmental insight-oriented treatment to individuals, couples and families so that they may feel empowered and ultimately hopeful about their lives.  Her treatment style has been described as genuine, warm, and trustworthy.
