~ From Childhood, to Parenthood and Everything in Between ~

Erin has her MA in Community Counseling from Denver Seminary, Littleton, CO with an emphasis on child & family therapy.  She also has a BA in Elementary Education from North Park University in Chicago, IL.  Working with children since high school, Erin has worked in many roles including camp counselor, director of a Sunday School program, in-home child-care provider, and an elementary school teacher.  Since 2011, she has been working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families in therapeutic settings.

Erin has extensive experience applying cognitive behavioral strategies with certifications in the evidenced based practices of CBT, DBT, MATCH, and TF-CBT.  Further, since 2015, she has trained and consulted with therapists in these specific modalities.  Cognitive behavioral therapeutic strategies help to improve oppositional behaviors, decrease anxiety and depression symptoms, heal from trauma experiences, and support families in re-building positive relationships.  In addition, Erin loves to use play-therapy, musical & artistic interventions, and a child’s preferred interests to engage young people in the therapeutic process and allow them to take ownership of their own growth. Erin has several years of experience in supporting parents and guardians with experience in Parent Management Training and attachment theories. She is able to provide parenting supports for families with this need.

Erin is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families in healthy growth and healing through life’s challenges.  She believes that a child or adolescent needs the support of their family during times of change and encourages consistent parent/guardian involvement in the therapeutic process.
