CHARLES CORDOVA, LMHC
Psychotherapist
Charles Cordova is a bilingual (Spanish) Mental Health Counselor who works with adults, adolescents, couples, and families using psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and holistic approaches (among others) with the hope that your work together will illuminate the path toward achieving established goals. In addition to addressing a range of general mental health concerns, he also works with trauma survivors, including military trauma.
He received his education at Columbia University and graduated with a Masters degree in Psychology and Education and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology. His training at the Center for Practice Innovations - NY State Psychiatric Institute also informs his work with clients. Additionally, his work in the non-profit sector with marginalized and oppressed populations has shown him that we all have experienced trauma to some extent and that we all have the ability to increase our resilience and develop healthy skills that allow us to cope with the challenges that are placed in our path.
Deciding to enter therapy can be difficult. But it's also a decision towards empowering yourself. Gaining insight, developing personal growth, and emotional control can be life-changing. Charles’ goal is to meet you wherever you are on your journey and help you find the skills and tools needed to improve your quality of life.
